What is taxidermy?

Taxidermy is the taxidermy of deceased animals or other products from flora and fauna. This is not as sad as most people think. We only sell animals that have died through hunting or that have died of natural causes and whose legality can be demonstrated. Hunting does not mean that animals are poached, but that they are shot due to nuisance/overpopulation. In the Veluwe, for example, there is a large surplus of wild boar. These boars cause a lot of nuisance and are dangerous to people. As a result, hunters with a licence are allowed to shoot boar. The meat from these boars is eaten and the hide is then waste. We ensure that this hide is not thrown away, but is used for a beautiful taxidermy animal.

We also regularly have exotic animals such as: Sea Eagle, Toucan, Lion, Wolf, Lynx and many more. These animals may not be shot; this is very well regulated. All these animals come with CITES papers. This is a kind of passport for the animal; they have these for both live and dead animals. The CITES agreement has been signed by 183 countries since 2016 and is strictly enforced. Wild animals therefore do not receive CITES papers; only animals from zoos or breeders receive these papers. This means that poaching is not possible.

For all animals we sell, you will receive an invoice and, where necessary, the CITES papers.
